Product conditions such as minor stains, scratches and similar can be often found even in items purchased from authorized retail stores. Such conditions may be due to the nature of the materials used, or may have occurred during the manufacturing and distribution process. For this reason, such conditions will be deemed to be within the range of SNKRDUNK’s guideline standards for brand-new, authentic items. Please check below for details on individual standards.

  • The descriptions in the Item Condition table are examples. The condition level standards may differ between items.

  • Product images on SNKRDUNK may appear different from the actual color tone due to the photoshooting environment etc.

  • SNKRDUNK is not responsible for manufacturer warranty. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the functionality of the product, please contact the manufacturer directly.

  • Quality standards for luxury brand items (including collaboration items) are different from others.

  • Regarding luxury brand items on SNKRDUNK, you can check them by tapping the “+” button at the bottom center of the app screen and then tapping “ハイブランド商品を出品” (“List Luxury Items”).

Minor wrinkles that may occur when the items are sold in stores or stored in a folded state will be considered as meeting the SNKRDUNK guideline standards.

Excessive and heavy wrinkles that are different from folding wrinkles will not meet the guideline standards.

Minor dirtiness and very minor staining will meet our guideline standards because they may occur during the manufacturing process or when the product is handled (e.g. displayed, sold, packaged) at authorized retailers and are often seen even when purchased from authorized retailers. Stains obtained from item usage or heavy stains/dirt will not meet the guideline standards.

Small fraying or rough stitching may occur during the manufacturing process or when the item is handled (e.g. displayed, sold, packaged) by authorized retailers and will meet our guideline standards, as similar defects are often found at the time of purchase from authorized retailers.

Small tears or large fraying will not meet the guideline standards.

Minor stitching discrepancies that may occur during the manufacturing process will meet our guideline standards.

Large areas of stitch misalignment that affect the overall clothing design or interfere with the wearability of the clothing will not meet the guideline standards.

Color unevenness that may occur during the manufacturing process, such as when dyeing the items, will meet our guideline standards.

Yellowing or discoloration caused by sun exposure or storage conditions will not meet the guideline standards.

Minor fabric pilling around the cuffs, body, and neck area may occur during item handling (e.g. display, sale, packaging) at authorized retailers or when trying on the item, and is therefore considered to meet our guideline standards.

In addition, items for which many individuals are found to have pilling attached to them from the beginning (when manufactured or sold at authorized retailers) are also considered to meet the guideline standards.

If the item shows signs of wear or has extensive fabric pilling, it will not meet the guideline standards.

Minor crooked (misaligned) prints and embroideries will meet our guideline standards, as they can be found even when the item is purchased from authorized retailers.

Crooked (misaligned) prints and embroideries that are significant enough to affect the overall clothing design will not meet the guideline standards.

Small cracks on part of the print will meet our guideline standards because they may occur during item handling (e.g. display, sale, packaging) at an authorized retailer.

Cracks that are large enough to affect the overall clothing design (including those that occur during storage) will not meet the guideline standards.

Misalignment of size tags fixed positioning or of their printing will meet the product guidelines, as such conditions have been confirmed in many cases even when purchased from authorized retailers.

Size tags with misaligned printing and/or where the watermark is misaligned and overlaps with other text will not meet our guideline standards.

Minor peeling or scraping on the zipper slider, which may occur during the manufacturing or shipping process will meet our guideline standards.

Peeling/scraping that shows signs of wear or extensive peeling/scraping will not meet the guideline standards.

Minor fluffing on the loop side (soft side) will meet our guideline standards.

If there are large amounts of fibers or pilling on the hook side (rough side), it will not meet the guideline standards.

Any stretches at the collar caused by storage on hangers for an extended period of time, etc., will not meet our guideline standards.

Any tears or rips on the product that are not the result of item handling (e.g. displayed, sold, packaged) at an authorized retailer will not meet our guideline standards.

Any holes that are not by design, such as holes caused by insect bites during manufacturing or storage, will not meet our guideline standards.

Items with animal hair on an extensive area will be deemed to not meet our guideline standards from a hygienic standpoint.

Items with size tag embroidery/printing defects (no printing, smashed printing, or other similar conditions) are judged by the brand to be B-grade (error) items, We likewise judge that it does not meet the guideline standards.

The following odors can be present in items even from the time of primary distribution and will meet our guideline standards.

  • Odors originating from the materials used in the item

  • Odors originating from the packaging materials

  • Odors that seemingly have occurred due to the natural aging of the item

Minor stains and pilling may occur during the manufacturing process, during handling (e.g. display, sale, packaging) at authorized retailers, and during test fitting (as they are often seen even when the item is purchased from authorized retailers), and thus meet our guideline standards.

In addition, items that are found to have dirt, stains, or fabric pilling from the initial state (when manufactured or sold at authorized retailers) will also meet the guideline standards.

Any condition that shows signs of wear beyond the degree of test fitting, and extensive stain, wrinkling, or fabric pilling will not meet the guideline standards.

Minor embroidery distortion or misalignment will meet our guideline standards, as it can be found even when the item is purchased from an authorized retailer.

Any holes that are not by design, such as holes caused by insect bites during manufacturing or storage, will not meet our guideline standards.

Distortion, dents, or extensive loss of shape will not meet our guideline standards. The cardboard usually included with the item is used to prevent such conditions. However, the cardboard itself is not a required accessory, as it may not be included even when the item is purchased from an authorized retailer.

The sticker attached to the visor (bill) is treated as part of the item. If we find evidence of sticker reattachment or bent/damaged stickers, it will not meet our guideline standards.

Items that show signs of being used or are extensively stained will not meet our guideline standards.

Please note that floor sample items are authenticated using the same guideline standards as other items. Items that are stained or damaged are not allowed to be listed for sale.

Hanes and other undergarments are sold wrapped in bags and sealed.

Items that show signs of having been opened or that have partial tears in the packaging material will not meet our guideline standards for hygienic reasons.

Defective items will not meet our guideline standards.

During the manufacturing process, items with defects are removed at the time of inspection by the manufacturer.

Since the manufacturer considers these items to be B-grade (defective) items, SNKRDUNK also determines that these items do not meet our guideline standards.
