Used Trading Cards Quality Guidelines
When listing used trading cards, the sellers are required to select "Item Condition” based on the condition of the item.
Please check the following guidelines regarding the condition of the item.
*The contents of this page, including the picture showing the condition of the items, are to be intended only as an example. These standards may vary depending on degree, extent, and the item itself.
Please note that during inspection and authentication, if there is a discrepancy between the option the seller selected and the actual condition of the item, or if the required images are missing, the transaction may be canceled after checking with the buyer to see if they are willing to continue the transaction.
We ask for the seller’s cooperation in selecting the appropriate condition and uploading the required images.
*The color of the images on the product page may appear slightly different from the actual product depending on factors such as the photographed conditions and so on.
*Please refer to the "Guidelines for listing items for sale" to confirm which areas are required to be shown when sellers taking pictures of an item.
・The condition list is only an example. Condition level standards may vary depending on the item.
・Product images on SNKRDUNK may appear different from actual color tone due to the photoshooting environment.
*If the cards included in a set are of varying conditions, the seller needs to list them under the grade of the card with the lowest condition in the set.
e.g.) If one of the five cards is in A condition, but the other four are in D, you need to list the set as D.
*The inspection and authentication requirements for PSA, BGS, ARS items and unopened cards (items enclosed in clear packaging) are different. Please check the bottom of this page for details.
【A (Mint condition - brand new, no damages)】
Items that can be listed in the "A" category are limited to items that have been stored for collection purposes and are still in the same condition as they were immediately after being opened ("fresh out of the pack").
Minor cut marks that may occur during the manufacturing and distribution process and mild warping that can be confirmed from the time of primary distribution are considered to be part of an item’s initial manufacturing defects.
In addition, the following conditions are also considered to be initial manufacturing defects, and these will meet our guideline standards for condition “A” .
*Even if an item is in a condition that can be assessed as its initial manufacturing defects, if the existing defects are very prominent or are found in several areas, please list the item in the "B" category.

Small, shallow, uneven scratches occurred after opening
Distortion that does not stand out when item is placed on a flat surface

If the card presents discoloration caused by exposure to sunlight or if it presents any of the following conditions, it will meet our guideline standards for condition “D”, even if they are present in multiple areas.
However, if there are visible signs of writing etc. that detracts from the design of the card, if the card is inked, has heavy chipping, staining or tearing, has signs of trimming (cutting that is not an initial manufacturing defect), water damage, or food/beverage staining, this card cannot be listed even as condition “D”.
Highly noticeable denting / moderate scratching in multiple areas
Large creasing that affects the design of the item / Severe fraying
【Conditions outside of our guideline standards】
If the card has visible signs of food/beverage staining and writing on it that detracts from the card’s design, heavy chipping, damage, or if it presents any of the following conditions, it cannot be listed even as condition “D”.

Sellers will need to select the condition of the item they list based upon the scale in the following table.
For items that are contained inside a card holder that certifies it has been authenticated by third-party authentication companies (Including PSA, BGS, ARS), we will inspect and authenticate the item as is, still inside the card holder.
However, even if the item will be in its original state, please be assured that we will carefully authenticate the item focusing on the following:
・If the holder presents signs of opening;
・If the holder is damaged;
・If the holder is a counterfeit;
・If the card itself (inside the holder) is a counterfeit;
*The condition of the card itself (inside the holder) will not be checked regarding if it conforms to its rank.
*About “Qualifier” grading for PSA items, we authenticate based on PSA’s official “Additional Terms & Info”.
*Fixtures (e.g. bands and similar) used to conceal certification numbers or serial numbers are not included in the accessories.
*If the card is inside a clear plastic bag, this will be opened at the time of authentication and the card will be put in a replacement bag afterward depending on its condition.
【Inside Authentication Standards】
Minor scratches and air bubbles in the card holder are considered within our authentication standards, as they can occur during the manufacturing and distribution process.
Should there be large, noticeable scratches, or scratches over a wide area, please provide pictures of these and write the details in the additional information section.
We will confirm any details related to the card's condition listed in the additional information, or the comment sections.
*Should there be any discrepancies between the description of the item and the item's actual condition, we will confirm with the buyer to see if they would like to proceed with the transaction.
Air bubbles, dust or foreign particles inside the holder
Minor scratching on the holder
Large scratches on the surface of the holder
Crackings on the holder
Damage and/or chipping on the holder
Cards that are distributed inside clear packaging, such as some promotional cards, can be listed by sellers even if they have not yet been removed from their original packaging.
If listed in said unopened condition, SNKRDUNK will authenticate the card assuming it to be in the range of initial defects by default, unless the item itself is bent or if it shows prominent damage.
Even if such items will be authenticated according to the above-mentioned assumptions, rest assured that we will carefully authenticate such items focusing on the following points:
・If there is any evidence of the clear packaging having been opened;
・If the clear packaging is damaged;
・Whether the clear packaging is counterfeit or not;
・Whether the card itself (inside the clear packaging) is counterfeit or not.
Minor tear of the clear packaging
Extensive tearing of transparent pack
Crease of the card itself
