We'd like to share an upcoming change we've been working on.
Currently, Vrew operates on a plan-based system (Light, Standard, Business) with different usage limits for each AI feature (Transcription, AI Voice, Translation, AI Image & Video).
However, when looking at the actual data, we’ve found that many users choose to focus on certain features, which means some of the plan goes unused. At the same time we’ve also heard feedback from our users:
I barely use the transcription feature, but it's included in my plan. Feels like a waste…
I don't use the translation feature. Can I convert that into more AI Voice instead?
That's why we're considering switching from the current per-feature usage system to a unified credit system.
Instead of separate limits for each feature, every plan would come with a shared credit balance you can spend however you like.
Credits per plan
Free: 200
Light: 2,000
Standard: 10,000
Business: 12,000
What 1 credit gets you
Transcription: 1 minute
AI Voice: 100 characters
Translation: 300 characters
AI Image & Video: Same as now
Let’s say you’re on the Standard plan and only use AI Voice.
Under the current per-feature usage system, you get up to 500,000 characters of AI Voice.
Under the proposed unified credit system, you’d receive 10,000 credits, and if you spend them all on AI Voice: 100 characters × 10,000 credits = 1,000,000 characters.
That’s twice as much as before with the new proposed unified credit system!
We’re working toward two goals:
Keep the existing plans, while giving users more flexibility to use the features they want.
Make sure that no one ends up worse off compared to the current system.
We haven't set a specific timeline for this yet, but we're aiming to roll this out within the first half of the year. We'll share a separate announcement once the schedule is confirmed, and we’ll keep you posted as details are finalized, so please stay tuned!
