How to Caveduck

  • Stories let you express a character’s background and narrative in a way that can't be fully captured through the character’s settings.

  • Creators can share immersive episodes and behind-the-scenes details about their characters.

  • Stories do not affect the character’s settings used in chat.

A Story is a narrative layer added to your character. You can create a story after the character is made!

To preserve each story’s unique language tone, translation is not supported.

Creating a Story

Go to Character Creation > Click the Story button on the created character

  • Add a story cover image, main character name, story title, and a brief description to showcase it to other users.

  • Use the private setting to keep your story hidden until it’s ready — or create personal stories just for yourself.

If the character is marked as age-restricted, the story will also be restricted.

Check the creation guidelines to help maintain a healthy Caveduck community!

Creating an Episode in a Story

On the story registration screen > Click "Add Episode" > Go to episode creation page

  • Think of episodes as individual chapters like Episode 1, Episode 2, and so on.

  • Add a cover image, title, and brief description for each episode.

  • You can choose whether episodes are free or paid.

    • Paid episodes cost 30🪽or 30 to read.

    • 10 from that is added as an incentive.

  • Episodes are built using scripts that you write directly.

On the episode screen > Click "Add Script"

  • A script is one unit of text that appears per user tap (click).

  • If you create 10 scripts, users will tap 10 times to read them all.

  • Combine multiple scripts into a page to create smooth scene transitions.

  • Each script can have up to 300 characters, and you can write up to 60 scripts per episode.

  • You can export your actual conversation with a character as a story script.

  • Have a meaningful chat with your character and share it with others!

In the chat room > Click Export > Select an Episode

  • Characters with stories will have a “Story” tag shown above their main image.

  • Check now to see if your favorite characters or creators have stories available!
