The Bangladesh Customs Authority has strengthened import requirements for all B2B shipments to Bangladesh. When submitting shipment details to customs, it is now mandatory to include the recipient's VAT/BIN (Business Identification Number).
Failure to provide the recipient’s VAT/BIN number will result in a penalty of EUR 400 per shipment, which will be imposed on the recipient starting March 1.
To avoid any issues, if you are the responsible party, please ensure that the VAT/BIN number is correctly entered in the Tax ID tab under the recipient’s address field.
