Please be advised that as of April 1, 2026, the Swiss government has implemented new Precious Metal Control (PMC) regulations. This change significantly impacts the customs clearance process for all precious metal items sent from abroad to Switzerland.
To avoid service disruptions and unexpected costs, please review the following updates carefully before arranging shipments:
All precious metal shipments entering Switzerland are now subject to a mandatory PMC inspection by Swiss Customs.
Non-Compliance: If a shipment fails the PMC inspection, it will be summarily rejected and forcibly returned to the sender.
Liability: All associated costs, including return shipping fees and administrative penalties, will be the sole responsibility of the recipient.
Under the new regulations, customs clearance is only permitted for products manufactured by brands or producers already registered in the PREZIUS Info database.
Restriction: Products from manufacturers not listed in the PREZIUS portal are strictly prohibited from entering the country.
Required Action: Before proceeding with any order or shipment, you must verify that the brand/manufacturer is officially registered on the portal.
