Choosing an AI Model

The first choice that sets the mood — and the cost — of your conversation

CS2026-09-10

EdenChat lets you choose from several AI models to chat with. Since each model differs in the character of its replies and its cost, it's good to pick one that suits the situation and your own taste. Clicking the model name to the right of the input box opens the model list. The model currently shown in the input box is the one that will be used for the ongoing conversation.

EdenChat offers a variety of models — some with smart performance and quality, some with great cost-effectiveness, and some with delicate, rich descriptive power. (Since pricing per model depends on how much text (token amount) is used, and varies between input and output, you can check the exact cost through the "Check Cost" feature found in the rightmost three-dot icon among the icons below an output reply.)

We've put together some recommended models to make choosing easier. After reading the descriptions, please try out the models you like at your own pace before settling into your chat.

  • If it's your first time, start light with the daily free chats or a cost-effective model.

  • If you want to have conversations with the best quality, we recommend the Claude Opus models.

  • If you'd like a good, balanced experience in both speed and quality, we recommend the Gemini 2.5 Pro model.

  • If you prefer moving quickly, we recommend the Gemini 3 Flash model, which excels in speed.

  • If you want the best cost-effectiveness, we recommend the DeepSeek V4 Pro model. However, this model has a strong tendency to follow the flow of previous inputs, so if there's another model with the mood you want, we recommend using that one first before switching to this one.

If you'd like to alternate between several models, turn on the macro feature in Advanced Generation on the left. With each turn that passes, the model will automatically switch in the order you've set, letting you proceed through the chat that way.

  • Rerolling is not counted as a turn passing.

  • Search Chat and Infinite Chat have different usage environments depending on the model, so they can't be used while running a macro.

To varying degrees depending on the model, AI has a tendency to generate its next reply based on previous replies. Because of this, combining AIs with different strengths and weaknesses in the way you want lets you enjoy chatting while adjusting for the quality and price range you prefer.Ex) Opus 4.7 > Gemini 3 Flash > Opus 4.7 > Gemini 3 Flash > Gemini 3 Flash(Setting up high-quality Opus together with cost-effective, freely descriptive Gemini 3 Flash)

At the very bottom of the model list are two options.(Neither option can be used with the macro.)

  • Search Chat: Lets you receive replies that make use of search. The latest information can be reflected through search when generating a reply. Depending on the model, this may sometimes be unavailable.

  • Infinite Chat: Reflects the entire conversation history in the reply. This is good when you need longer, richer context, but since the whole conversation goes in as input, the total character count (tokens) factored into the cost can increase accordingly.
