Chat is EdenChat's most important feature. Once you've learned the basics, anyone can dive right into enjoying conversations. Starting a New ConversationOn a work's detail page, tapping the "Start New Conversation" button opens a chat room. Once the chat room opens, the character sends the first scene and the first message.
Depending on the work, several starting situations may be available. Even with the same character, the mood changes depending on which scene you start from. You can choose your preferred starting situation either from the Starting Situations tab on the detail page, or from within the chat room after starting a new conversation.
Just type what you want to say in the input box at the bottom of the screen and send it. Type as casually as you would texting or messaging someone. For a more vivid conversation, you can write dialogue and actions separately.
Text you type plainly becomes your character's dialogue. Example: Hello! (Depending on your preference, you can also put your dialogue inside quotation marks "".)
Text wrapped in asterisks becomes an action line describing behavior, a situation, or inner thoughts. Example: opens the shop door and walks in
Clicking the asterisk icon (*) next to the input box helps you enter action text.Ex) What kind of day did you have today? blinks and looks at you
Pressing Enter sends the message.
Pressing Shift + Enter creates a new line.
(In the chat settings under the viewer menu on the left, turning off the "Send with Enter key" toggle changes it so Enter creates a new line and Ctrl + Enter sends the message.)
Pressing Enter creates a new line.
Messages can only be sent via the send button.
While scrolling down, the input box automatically hides below for easier viewing. Once you reach the bottom, the input box automatically reappears, but if you want to check the input box while in the middle, just scroll up slightly!
Click the light bulb icon at the far left of the message input box. This generates suggested replies — phrases automatically recommended based on the current situation.
If a character's reply falls short, you can regenerate it, or edit and resend your own message. If the flow has gone off track, you can adjust earlier replies to steer the conversation in the direction you want.
Reroll (Regenerate Message): When a reply falls short, pressing the leftmost icon in the menu below the generated conversation lets you regenerate the message. At that point, you can change which AI model generates the reply, or enter guidelines for which direction the message should be regenerated in.(The message you typed also has the same reroll button. It works the same way…!)
Edit: When you want to modify content in your own input or the character's reply, press the pencil icon among the icons below, then edit the content.
If an image's link/code outputs incorrectly and causes an error, you can directly edit that link/code so the image displays properly.
<How Images Appear When You Press Edit>
If it appears as the code <<image>>: You can check whether the image code is shown in the gallery on the left.
If the image appears as a link: You can check whether you've written the image link rule in the Work Info on the left.
Conversations you've had are saved to your account. You can always return and continue them from Recent Chats in the top menu, or from the Continue list on a work's detail page.
