Instant Payment Process

Learn how to use Instant Payment on Momstay to reserve your room. The contract will be confirmed once the host approves your payment.

  • Check the details of the room you want on the accommodation detail page.

  • Click the [Instant Payment] button at the bottom to start the payment process.

  • On the payment page, enter the following information:

    • Check-in date / Check-out date

    • Guest information

    • Message (optional)

  • Choose your payment method and then click the [Instant Payment] button at the bottom.

  • Once payment is completed, the status will change to pending host approval.

  • If the host rejects the request or does not respond within 2 days, a full refund will be automatically issued.

The contract is only confirmed once the host approves the payment.

  • If the host accepts within 2 days, the contract will be confirmed.

  • For long-term stays, a contract will be automatically issued: it will be sent to the host first, and after the host signs, it will be delivered to the guest.

For long-term reservations, please make sure to check the contract.

What should I do if my payment fails?

If your payment fails, please check your order details and payment method, then try again.

Payments can fail due to exceeded card limits, insufficient balance, or unstable network connections.

If the issue continues, try a different payment method or contact our customer support team.

I clicked the payment button, but nothing happens.

If clicking the payment button doesn’t work, please check that all required fields on the payment page are filled in and that you have agreed to the terms and conditions.

Payments cannot proceed if mandatory fields are left blank or if you haven’t given your consent. After completing everything, try again.

If the issue continues, use another payment method or contact customer support.

How are refunds processed?

Momstay processes refunds according to our cancellation and refund policy.

For long-term stays, refunds may be limited after the check-in date.

Please make sure to review the refund policy before canceling your reservation.

When and how will I receive a refund?

If the host rejects your booking or does not approve within 2 days, a full refund will be processed automatically.

Although the refund is issued immediately, the actual deposit may take 1–5 business days depending on your card company or bank.

You can check your refund details in your card or bank app.

When and how is the contract issued?

For long-term stays, the contract is automatically issued once the host approves the payment.

The contract is first sent to the host, and after the host signs, it is delivered to the guest.

If Instant Payment is not used, a handwritten contract can still be issued upon request, but a fee of 40,000 KRW will apply.

What if the host doesn’t approve the payment?

If the host does not accept the payment within 2 days, a full refund will be processed automatically.

If you would like to book the same room again, please make a new Instant Payment.

Guests can also cancel their own booking. Up to 20 days before check-in, you can cancel through My Page > Payment History > View Details.

If the system does not allow cancellation, please contact customer support.
