Community Guidelines

Effective Date: July 16, 2026

These Community Guidelines (the "Guidelines") set the standards for using RIRU. They form part of the RIRU Terms of Service and apply to everything you do on the Service — including your prompts, chats with AI characters, images and audio you generate or upload, and characters, stories, and other Content you create for your own use. Capitalized terms have the meaning given in the Terms of Service.

Violating these Guidelines may result in the measures described in Section 8, up to permanent account termination, and — where required — reports to law enforcement.

RIRU is a place to chat, create, and explore stories with AI characters. Keep it safe for everyone:

  • Follow the law and these Guidelines, everywhere you use the Service.

  • Remember AI characters are fictional. Their responses are generated by AI, may be inaccurate, and are not the opinions or advice of a real person.

  • Your creations are currently private. Publishing to other users is not offered on this Service; content you can interact with (other than your own creations) is provided by the Company. Even private creations and chats must comply with these Guidelines.

The following are never allowed anywhere on the Service — in any mode, including adult mode (Firewall OFF), and regardless of whether the content is fictional, AI-generated, or kept private. Violations result in immediate account termination and may be reported to relevant authorities:

  1. Sexual content involving minors. Any sexual depiction of a minor (a person under 18, or under the age of majority in the applicable jurisdiction) or of a character that could reasonably be perceived as a minor — regardless of stated age, art style, or fictional framing. This includes attempts to elicit such content from the AI.

  2. Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sexualization of minors, or sexual extortion of minors.

  3. Non-consensual intimate imagery, real or synthetic, including sexual depictions of real people without their consent.

  4. Facilitation of serious crimes, including instructions or specific means for violence, weapons, or other illegal acts.

  5. Terrorism or violent extremism, including promotion, glorification, or recruitment.

Do not create, request, upload, or use the Service to produce:

  • Illegal content or activity — planning, promoting, or carrying out unlawful acts, including buying or selling illegal drugs or promoting illegal gambling.

  • Exploitation or harm of real people — harassment, threats, bullying, defamation, doxxing, or unauthorized collection or disclosure of personal information.

  • Real-person impersonation — characters that imitate or impersonate real people (celebrities, politicians, private individuals), deepfakes, fabricated statements or actions of real people, or uploading photographs or voice recordings of real people — even with their consent, including your own. Non-commercial parody or public commentary clearly labeled as such may be permissible within the limits of applicable law.

  • Photorealistic imagery — RIRU is a 2D-only service. Uploading or generating photorealistic, live-action-like, or 3D-rendered depictions of people is prohibited in all modes; only 2D illustrated (drawn/anime-style) imagery is allowed (Content Creation Policy, Section 2.4).

  • Hate — content that demeans, or promotes discrimination or violence against, people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics.

  • Self-harm promotion — content that provides methods for, glorifies, encourages, or coerces suicide, self-injury, or eating disorders. (Supportive, recovery-oriented discussion is not a violation; see Section 7.)

  • Graphic violence — excessively violent content or realistic serious violence against people or animals in graphic detail, outside a clearly fictional narrative context.

  • Intellectual-property infringement — content that infringes others' copyrights, trademarks, or publicity/portrait rights. Only upload material you own or are authorized to use.

  • Deception and spam — fraud, scams, phishing, malware, unsolicited advertising, or deliberately generating and spreading false information presented as fact.

And do not:

  • Bypass safety systems — attempt to jailbreak, prompt-inject, or otherwise evade the Service's safety measures, filters, or the Firewall, including through slang, coded language, roleplay framing, or technical means such as VPNs or proxies.

  • Abuse the platform — use bots, scripts, or automation; scrape data; probe or disrupt the Service; create excessive load; or share, sell, or rotate accounts.

  • Misrepresent AI output — pass off AI-generated output as human-created where this misleads others, or use Generated Output to train your own machine-learning models.

  • Evade enforcement — create new accounts to circumvent a suspension or ban.

  • Firewall ON (default). Harmful and adult themes are blocked for all users.

  • Firewall OFF (adult mode). Available only after completing identity (KYC) verification through our provider, Didit, confirming you are 18 or older (or the age of majority where you live, if higher).

  • Adult mode is a setting for fiction between consenting adults and AI characters. It does not unlock anything in Section 2 or Section 3 — illegal content, minors, real people, and non-consensual scenarios remain prohibited.

  • Do not attempt to access adult mode by misrepresenting your age or identity, or help anyone else do so.

Characters and stories you create are for your own use on this Service. They are still subject to these Guidelines: we may screen, moderate, or remove any Content, including private creations, that violates the Terms of Service or these Guidelines (see Terms of Service, Article 18). Do not use private creation as a workaround for anything prohibited above.

If you encounter content or behavior that may violate these Guidelines, report it:

  • Use the in-app report function; or

  • Email support@riru.ai with a description and, where possible, the location of the content (character name, chat, or URL).

For intellectual-property complaints, follow the Notice & Takedown procedure in Article 18 of the Terms of Service. We review reports and take action as described in Section 8. We may share necessary information from a report with the affected user when investigating, as described in our policies and applicable law.

If you are experiencing thoughts of self-harm or suicide, please reach out for support. You can find a helpline in your country at findahelpline.com or via the International Association for Suicide Prevention. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services.

When our systems detect signs of crisis, we prioritize showing safety guidance and professional resources. Conversations with AI characters are not a substitute for professional help or real human relationships.

We use a combination of automated systems (AI filters, keyword and pattern analysis) and human review, together with user reports, to detect violations. Depending on severity and history, measures include:

  1. Warning messages;

  2. Temporary restriction of specific features;

  3. Ending or removing conversations or Content;

  4. Deleting characters or other creations;

  5. Temporary account suspension;

  6. Permanent account termination.

Zero-tolerance violations (Section 2) skip the ladder and result in immediate termination and, where appropriate, reports to law enforcement. Sanctions may also restrict refunds as set out in the Terms of Service (Articles 10, 15, and 33).

Appeals. If you believe a measure was taken in error, you may appeal within 14 days of notice by contacting support@riru.ai. We will respond within 30 days (Terms of Service, Article 33).

We may update these Guidelines from time to time; material changes will be announced in accordance with the Terms of Service. Questions: support@riru.ai.
