In VideoStep, you can use AI-generated voiceovers to read subtitles aloud.
If you are subscribed to the Business Plan or higher, enabling Japanese text-to-speech will allow voiceovers in up to 15 languages when using the translation feature.
Note: There is a character limit for text that can be read using AI voiceover.
1. When you click on the “Read aloud” timeline, an input field for AI narration will appear on the right.
2. The AI Voiceover settings screen will appear. The functions of each item are as follows:
① “Generate AI readout from subtitles”: Reads the subtitle text as-is.
② “Specify timing (seconds)”: Sets the starting time for the voiceover.
③ “Set voiceover text”: Enter the text to be read starting from the time specified in ②.

ON: Adds the AI voiceover while keeping the original audio.
OFF: Replaces the original audio with AI voiceover only.
⑤ “Save”: Click to apply the settings.
You can preview the audio—both original and AI-generated—using the playback screen.
