ZEP Official Guide

ZEP maps use a grid tile size of 32px by 32px. To save time and effort, you can select different stamp sizes to place multiple tiles or objects at once. You can choose between 1x, 2x, or 4x stamp sizes which can be found in the top-right corner of the map screen.

  1. Click on Floor and Stamp in the top panel.

  2. Select the tile design you want to apply for the floor from the right panel.

  3. Place it on the map grid by left-clicking your mouse on the desired tile.

  1. Click on Wall and Stamp in the top panel.

  2. Select the tile design you want to apply from the right panel.

  3. Place it on the map grid by left-clicking your mouse on the desired tile.

By default, all wall tiles in ZEP are impassable. If you want to make a part of your background design impassable, consider using tile effects instead of wall tiles.

  1. Click on Objects or Top Objects and then select Stamp from the top panel.

  2. Choose the object you want to place from the right panel.

  3. Place it on the map grid by left-clicking your mouse on the desired tile.

  1. Object

The object layer is placed below the avatar, so if the impassible tile effect is not used, avatars will be able to walk over it.

  2. Top Object

The object layer is placed above the avatar and other objects. This allows top objects to be placed on top of objects (such as a computer on a table) and if the impassible tile effect is not used, avatars will walk under it.

  • Other than the layer level, top objects and objects are exactly the same.

If you’re having trouble editing an object’s settings, check to see if it is a top object.

You can add functions to tiles using the Tile Effects option. Choose which effect to apply by selecting a tile effect from the right-side panel.

  1. Click on Tile effects and Stamp in the top panel.

  2. Select the tile effect from the right panel.

You cannot add multiple tile effects to the same tile.
