The size of each tile is 32x32px (pixels).
You cannot add multiple tile effects to the same tile.
After selecting Tile and Stamp Effects apply the effect in the right panel.
Install it by clicking the desired location with your left mouse.
This is a feature that allows you to restrict avatar movement.
Name | Description |

Impassable | Apply an effect that prevents users from walking through a tile |
Spawn | Define the location in which users will first appear when entering the map |
Install tiles that avatars cannot pass through.
It is useful when blocking specific areas, designing complex structures like a maze, or limiting the end of the map to prevent avatars from leaving the map.
Or use decorative tiles to create a natural environment or to visually distinguish areas that cannot be moved.
Note that if you install impassable tiles diagonally, it still leaves a gap through which avatars can pass through.
Please keep diagonal movement in mind when setting up the impassable tiles.
Install tiles where avatars are located when first entering the map.
When an avatar enters the map, it will be randomly spawned on one of the installed tiles.
When more than one spawn tile is placed, users will spawn at one of the spawn tiles randomly. If no spawn tile is placed, users will spawn in the center of the map.
You can add an effect to a tile that will move an avatar from one place to another.
Name | Description |
---|---|
Portal | You can place a portal that allows movement to another area, map, or Space. |
Map Location | This sets a target area where an avatar moves to through a portal. |
Choose one of the portal types to apply. You can see descriptions of the three portal types below.
Move to another map within this Space: This moves users from their current map to another map within the same Space.
Move to a designated area within the map: This moves users from the portal to a designated area within the same map.
Move to an outside Space: This moves users from the current Space to a different Space.
The Space ID appears in the Space URL like so: https://zep.us/SpaceID.
If the entire URL is entered instead of just the Space ID, the portal will not work.
The Map Location function is used to designate areas for use in ZEP script. It also allows you to designate areas for use with portals.
This is a tile that allows users to change their video and audio settings in the space.
Name | Description |
---|---|
Private Area | You can set an area for private conversations. |
Spotlight | You can set a specific area or tile to broadcast any user’s video, audio, and chat messages to others when they are on that tile or in that area. |
If the area ID is the same, private conversations are possible even if the private spaces are separated.
If you want to create a new private space, please use a different area ID.
To distinguish it from the general area, the outside of the private space becomes a little darker.
Limited capacity private area
This limits the tile capacity to allow only 1 person per tile.
When an avatar goes to the spotlight area, their video, audio, and chat are broadcast in real-time to the entire map.
Try using this spotlight feature for announcements or presentations! It can be used immediately after a simple installation without any complicated setup.
Experience the effect as if you are standing at a podium with the microphone on in an offline presentation hall.
When you go up to the spotlight area, a notification is displayed indicating that the video and audio are being broadcasted across the entire map, and an icon representing this status is also displayed next to the avatar.
