Click the type of question you want to add: Multiple Choice, Short Answer, True/False, Essay, Match, or Ordering.
Match and Ordering are available from the Basic plan.
Under Create questions with AI, choose Create from topic or Create from source to quickly create questions with AI.
You can also add questions using the floating button that appears on the right after you generate a question.
You can create up to 20 questions.

How do I input mathematical formulas?
You can input formulas in Multiple-Choice, Short-Answer, and O/X questions, as well as in the Multiple-Choice options! Please refer to the Formula Input Guide for details.
How to Add a Multiple-Choice Question
Enter the question (max 300 characters).
Add an image using the
Imagebutton (jpg, jpeg, png, webp format / max 3MB, up to 2048px).Write the options for the question using the
+ Add Optionbutton. (2–5 options)Select the correct answer(s) by clicking the
✓button next to the option.You must select at least one correct answer.
You can set multiple correct answers.
Provide a hint by clicking the
Add Hint +button. Hints support text, image upload, and YouTube embeds.
How to Add a Short-Answer Question
Enter the question (max 300 characters).
Add an image using the
Imagebutton (jpg, jpeg, png, webp format / max 3MB, up to 2048px).Enter the correct answer(s) for the question (up to 10 answers, 50 characters each).
If you want to allow multiple similar answers, click the
+ Add Similar Answerbutton. (e.g. You can set it so that zep Quiz, ZEP QUIZ, and ZEP Quiz are all accepted as correct answers)Currently, spaces and capitalization in English are not distinguished when checking short answers.
Provide a hint by clicking the

How to Add a O/X Question
Enter the question. (max 300 characters)
Add an image using the

How to Add an Essay Question
Enter the question (max 300 characters).
Students answer freely in writing, up to 1,000 characters.
There is no preset answer, so you can review and grade the answers later.
How to Add a Match Question (Basic plan and above)
Enter the question (max 300 characters).
Create 2–5 pairs to be matched.
Each item can be text (max 50 characters), a formula, or an image.
Students connect the items on the left and right correctly.
How to Add an Ordering Question (Basic plan and above)
Enter the question (max 300 characters).
Enter 2–5 items (max 50 characters each).
The order you enter is the correct answer.
TIP! You can easily change the question type by clicking the ▽ icon next to the question number, even while you are entering the question.

How to Use the Left Question List
You can change the order by clicking and dragging the question cards.
Clicking a question card will scroll to that question card.
The color of the question card is white if all required elements are completed, and gray if they are incomplete.
Click the
Shufflebutton at the bottom to randomize the order of all questions.
TIP! You can also change the order of the individual questions on the right by clicking and dragging them.
For students who find the questions difficult, you can add hints in the form of text, images, or YouTube videos.

Click the Add Hint + button on the question creation or modification screen to generate a hint input field.
Enter the text for the hint in the input field.
Click the Add Image button and upload the image file to be used as a hint.
Copy the URL link of the YouTube video you want to use as a hint, and paste it into the input field.
Click the trash can icon on the generated hint block to delete the hint.
