Quiz Creation

Shall we create a new quiz now?

You can create quizzes after logging in.

If you are not logged in or not a member, please sign up first.

Quiz Creation

After logging in to ZEP QUIZ click the + Create a new quiz or + Creating My Own Quiz button.

Enter basic information

First, please enter the title of the quiz and select the quiz topic category.

The title can be up to 60 characters.

*You must select at least one category, and you can select up to five categories.

Selecting a Map

You can select one of the various maps to create a quiz.

The format of the map is the same ([Pre-game Waiting Room] - [Quiz Solving Space] - [Quiz Completion Waiting Room]) and it is composed of different themes. The types and kinds of maps will be continuously updated.

Depending on how you solve the Quiz, the maps are divided into Sequencing, Freestyle, Team Play.

🔝 Using the header

How to Use the Header

  • Click the Back (<) button on the left side of the header to navigate to the previous screen.

  • Click the Map Selection Area to select or modify the map.

  • Click the Quiz Title to edit the title (max 60 characters).

  • Freely switch between the Questions and Settings tabs in the center of the header.

Add questions

Click the type of question you want to create and add: Multiple-choice question, Short-answer question, OX Quiz

Click Add a question using AI to automatically generate and easily add questions. (Pro Plan)

You can also add questions using the floating button that appears on the right after you generate a question.

You can create up to 20 questions.

How do I input mathematical formulas?

You can input formulas in Multiple-Choice, Short-Answer, and O/X questions, as well as in the Multiple-Choice options! Please refer to the Formula Input Guide for details.

Add a multiple-choice question

How to Add a Multiple-Choice Question

  1. Enter the question (max 200 characters).

  2. Add an image using the Image button (jpg, jpeg, png, webp, gif format / max 3MB).

  3. Write the options for the question using the + Add Option button. (Up to one option can be added.)

  4. Select the correct answer(s) by clicking the ✓ button next to the option.

    1. You must select at least one correct answer.

    2. You can set multiple correct answers.

  5. Provide a hint by clicking the Add Hint + button. Hints support text, image upload, and YouTube embeds.

Add a short answer question

How to Add a Short-Answer Question

  1. Enter the question (max 200 characters).

  2. Add an image using the Image button (jpg, jpeg, png, webp, gif format / max 3MB).

  3. Enter the correct answer(s) for the question (max 200 characters).

    1. If you want to allow multiple similar answers, click the + Add Similar Answer button. (e.g. You can set it so that zep Quiz, ZEP QUIZ, and ZEP Quiz are all accepted as correct answers)

    2. Currently, spaces and capitalization in English are not distinguished when checking short answers.

  4. Provide a hint by clicking the Add Hint + button. Hints support text, image upload, and YouTube embeds.

How to Add a O/X Question

  1. Enter the question. (max 200 characters)

  2. Add an image using the Image button (jpg, jpeg, png, webp, gif format / max 3MB).

  3. Select either O or X to set the correct answer.

  4. Provide a hint by clicking the Add Hint + button. Hints support text, image upload, and YouTube embeds.

TIP! You can easily change the question type by clicking the ▽ icon next to the question number, even while you are entering the question.

 Left Question List

You can see individual question cards in the list on the left.

How to Use the Left Question List

  1. You can change the order by clicking and dragging the question cards.

  2. Clicking a question card will scroll to that question card.

  3. The color of the question card is white if all required elements are completed, and gray if they are incomplete.

  4. Click the Shuffle button at the bottom to randomize the order of all questions.

TIP! You can also change the order of the individual questions on the right by clicking and dragging them.

Add a hint to the question

For students who find the questions difficult, you can add hints in the form of text, images, or YouTube videos.

During the question creation or modification process on the screenAdd hint +Clicking the button will create a hint input field.

Click the Add Hint + button on the question creation or modification screen to generate a hint input field.

Text Hint

Enter the text for the hint in the input field.

Image Hint

Click the Add Image button and upload the image file to be used as a hint.

YouTube Hint

Copy the URL link of the YouTube video you want to use as a hint, and paste it into the input field.

Delete Hint

Click the trash can icon on the generated hint block to delete the hint.

Detailed Settings

Basic Information

You can set the Map Selection, Quiz Title, and School Level/Category.

Question Settings

Use the toggles to turn the following options on/off.

  • Allow incorrect answer: Allows users to move to the next question even if they do not get the correct answer.

  • Show Correct Answer: When an incorrect answer is submitted, the actual correct answer is displayed for 5 seconds. Users can check the correct answer before moving to the next question.

Learning Tools

AI Learning Assistant (Premium Plan Only)

  • After completing the quiz, users can review incorrect questions by chatting with the assistant.

  • Choose the desired type from a total of 5 AI Assistant personas.

  • AI Question Translation (Premium Plan Only)

    • When you enable the question language translation feature, you can select up to 3 languages for translation.

    • While taking the quiz, users can select their desired language in the top-right corner of the question window to translate the question into that language.

Currently supported languages are:

Korean / English / Vietnamese / Chinese (Simplified) / Chinese (Traditional) / Filipino / Cambodian / Uzbek / Kazakh / Japanese / Mongolian / Russian / Ukrainian / Thai / French / Spanish / Indonesian / Nepali / Burmese / Bengali / Pakistani / Malay

Adding Learning Materials

  • You can upload textbooks or learning handouts in PDF format (max 20MB).

  • The learning material will be presented before starting the quiz, and you can also set it to be viewable during the quiz-taking process.

To keep your quiz private

  • Maintain the Pro plan or

  • Delete the quiz before the plan expires.

Congratulations! You have completed creating the quiz. Would you like to edit the questions you have created?

Then let's edit the questions!

Editing Saved Questions

You can change the order, edit questions, or delete questions using the buttons at the top right.

Change Order

Click and drag the change order icon to change the order.

Edit Question

Click the edit icon to modify the question and answer.

Delete Question

Click the trash icon to delete the question.

Change Map

To change the quiz map, you need to copy the quiz first before proceeding.

Copy the Quiz

1. Click on your profile in the top right corner.

2. Go to “My Quizzes” and click on the name of the quiz you want to edit.

Click the “Duplicate” button at the bottom of the last question.

Change the Map

Once you move to the creation page of the copied quiz, you can change the map!
