What is a Space?
Learn about the basic settings of a space.
A space is a group of articles that have the same topic and can be published as a single website. You can create multiple Spaces on a single channel, and you can create and manage articles per Space. You can choose which languages to support for each Space, and you can support more than one language.
You can organize your articles in any view you want to display on your website.
Category view: Show articles in a hierarchy that you define.
Blog view: Shows articles with the same topic in a group. (Coming soon)
Timeline view: Shows articles in chronological order. (Coming soon)
Currently only category views are supported, with blog views and timeline views coming in the future.
If you've added another language, you can change the language mode at the bottom of the sidebar. The organization of categories and articles displayed in the sidebar is always synchronized, regardless of the language you choose. You can also set different visibility for different languages.
How-To: [Documents] - [Space settings] - [General] - [Add a language]
If you add a language, both the category and article will be duplicated and won't appear on the website right away. You'll need to create and publish the duplicated category name and article in the added language before it appears on the website.
Categories: Duplicated in a 'private' state based on the default language.
Articles: Duplicated in a 'draft' state with a version of the default language.
Author profiles are managed by spaces, with one created for each manager. Enter translations for your name and bio based on the languages your space supports. If a agent has accessed the space at least once, an author profile is automatically created based on their channel manager information and can be edited at any time.
