Got questions while working? ALF Team, your AI work buddy, is here to help you find smart and fast solutions—right when you need them.

ALF Team is your go-to AI assistant that gives you instant answers whenever you get stuck or need a quick hand during work.

It pulls information from web sources and team-created content (Articles & FAQs) in ChannelTalk Documents, helping you out with everything from quick tasks to deep research.

Click the [ALF Team] icon at the top-left of your ChannelTalk Desk to start asking and getting answers.

  1. Search Bar:

    Hit a roadblock? Just type your question right in—ALF Team will take it from there.

  2. File Upload:

    Upload an image or PDF. ALF Team can read it and give you summaries, insights, or whatever help you need based on the content.

  3. Search Options:

    You can choose to search either web results or content (Articles & FAQs) from ChannelTalk Documents. Don’t want to choose? No problem—ALF Team will figure out the best source for your question.

    1. Search in Documents: ALF Team looks through team-created Articles & FAQs stored in ChannelTalk Documents.

    2. Search the Web: ALF Team brings in fresh, reliable info from the web to give you the latest answers.

  4. Recommended Questions:

    Don’t know where to start? Click a suggested question to get going.

    1. Question Buttons: Add ready-made questions with just one click.

    2. Function Buttons: One click to launch handy tools like writing help or summarizing—we’ll fill in the right prompt for you.

  5. Conversation History:

    All your Q&A with ALF Team is saved and sorted by date so you can easily look back.

  6. Answer Sources:

    1. URL Chips: Clickable links to the pages ALF Team used to answer your question.

    2. Source List: A full list of documents or web pages ALF Team referred to, with links included.

Is ALF Team free to use?

Yes! ALF Team is currently offered as a beta service, and for a limited time, it’s available on the free plan at no extra cost.

Can ALF Team search beyond what's in ChannelTalk Documents?

Absolutely. In addition to what's written in ChannelTalk Documents, ALF Team can also pull information through web search.

Can ALF Team search through Team Chat or User Chat conversations?

Not yet — but it’s in the works!

In the future, ALF Team will help you find the information you need from chat conversations, without having to search through them yourself.

How does ALF Team prioritize search sources when I set search options?

When you set a search option, ALF Team follows a fixed order to find the answer:

  • Attached File → ChannelTalk Documents → Web Search

  • It always checks sources in that order, prioritizing files and internal documents first.

If you don’t set a search option, ALF Team figures out what kind of information you need and chooses the most relevant source automatically.

What’s the difference between setting a search option and not setting one?
  • If you don’t set a search option, ALF Team decides whether a search is needed based on your question.

    e.g. “Hello!” → No search

    “What’s ChannelTalk’s pricing policy?” → Searches internal docs (Articles & FAQs)

  • If you turn on a search option, ALF Team will always perform a search, no matter what you ask.

    Even a simple “Hello!” will trigger document or web search.

  • In short: Search options force a search — even when it’s not needed.

I got a usage limit error while using ALF Team.

ALF Team is in beta, so there’s a daily usage limit.

  • You can ask up to 100 questions per day (including web searches) per account.

  • Usage resets every day at 9:00 AM Korea time (UTC 0:00).

I got an error message saying “Something went wrong. Please try again later.”

If this happens, try refreshing the page and running your question again.

Can other team members see the questions I asked ALF Team?

No, your Q&A history with ALF Team — shown on the left side of the screen — is visible only to you.

How many files can I attach when using ALF Team?

You can attach one file at a time, and it must be either an image or a PDF.

Can ALF Team generate images?

I am afraid image generation is not available in ALF Team right now.
