Accessing the ALF Team Menu : Click the [ALF Team] icon at the top-left of your ChannelTalk Desk to start asking and getting answers.
ALF Team Menu Structure
1) Search Bar:
Hit a roadblock? Just type your question right in—ALF Team will take it from there.
2) File Upload:
Upload an image or PDF. ALF Team can read it and give you summaries, insights, or whatever help you need based on the content.
3) Search Options:
You can choose to search either web results or content (Articles & FAQs) from ChannelTalk Documents. Don’t want to choose? No problem—ALF Team will figure out the best source for your question.
Search in Documents: ALF Team looks through team-created Articles & FAQs stored in ChannelTalk Documents.
Search the Web: ALF Team brings in fresh, reliable info from the web to give you the latest answers.
4) Recommended Questions:
Don’t know where to start? Click a suggested question to get going.
Question Buttons: Add ready-made questions with just one click.
Function Buttons: One click to launch handy tools like writing help or summarizing—we’ll fill in the right prompt for you.
5) Conversation History:
All your Q&A with ALF Team is saved and sorted by date so you can easily look back.
6) Answer Sources:
URL Chips: Clickable links to the pages ALF Team used to answer your question.
Source List: A full list of documents or web pages ALF Team referred to, with links included.
Accessing the ALF Team in Team Chat / Inbox via Side View
You can ask ALF Team questions directly from the side view in the Team Chat or Inbox screens of Channel Talk Desk. Any searches made in the side view can also be reviewed in the main ALF Team menu.
Accessing ALF Team Side View
Click the ALF Team Icon at the Top Right: In the Team Chat or Inbox screen, click the ALF icon at the top right to open the chat window.
Use Shortcut Key: Press
Alt/Option(⌥)+L
to open ALF Team in side view. If the side view is already open, pressingAlt/Option(⌥)+L
again will start a new conversation.
ALF Team Side View Structure
1) Recent Conversation History: Click the clock icon at the top right of the side view to check your previous conversations.
2) Start a New Conversation: Click the edit icon at the top right of the side view to start a new conversation.

It enables ALF to retrieve or register data within those tools.In simple terms, MCP tells ALF where the data is and how it should be handled, helping ALF understand the structure and usage of external platforms.Thanks to this, ALF can go beyond answering questions — it can automate actual tasks like updating a Notion document or creating a Linear issue on your behalf.
Go to your ALF Team page and click "MCP Settings" at the bottom left.
Toggle on the MCPs you need and click "Log in" for each service to connect them.
