Storychat User Guide

Storychat is a creative platform for AI storytelling, character interaction, and community sharing. These guidelines help keep our community safe, respectful, and welcoming for everyone.

- Creative expression: We support storytelling across all genres and encourage imaginative, original content.

- Safety first: We protect our users, with special care for younger community members.

- Respect: We foster a respectful, inclusive community where everyone can participate.

- Original characters and stories across all genres

- Collaborative storytelling and character interaction

- Constructive feedback and community discussion

- Fan-created characters and scenarios (please respect intellectual property)

- Creative use of AI tools for writing, worldbuilding, and character development

- Pornographic or sexually explicit content — content designed primarily for sexual gratification is prohibited

- Sexual content involving minors — zero tolerance, no exceptions

- Hate speech — content that attacks individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin

- Harassment or bullying — targeted abuse, threats, or intimidation

- Violence or self-harm — content that promotes, glorifies, or instructs violence, self-harm, or suicide

- Impersonation or fraud — pretending to be another person or entity to deceive others

- Spam or commercial solicitation — unsolicited advertising or repetitive content

- Circumventing safety features — attempting to bypass content filters, age restrictions, or moderation systems

- Illegal activity — content that promotes or facilitates illegal acts

- You must be 13 or older to use Storychat (16 or older in the EEA/UK)

- You must be 18 or older to access mature-themed content

- Age verification is required to modify content sensitivity settings

Violations of these guidelines may result in:

- Content removal

- Account warning

- Temporary suspension

- Permanent ban

The severity of the response depends on the nature of the violation, whether it is a first or repeated offense, and whether the content is prohibited (see our Content & Safety Guidelines for details).

Serious violations, including content involving the exploitation of minors, may be reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement.

If you see content or behavior that violates these guidelines:

- Use the in-app report button on any character, story, or message

- Reports are reviewed by our moderation team

- All reports are handled confidentially

If you believe an enforcement action was made in error, you may submit an appeal through the in-app appeal feature. Our team will review your case within 5 business days.
