Storychat User Guide

Existing-Subscriber Migration FAQ

Q1. Is my price going up?

No. For existing members, your current price is locked. The price increase applies to new sign-ups only.

Q2. If "unlimited" is going away, can I no longer chat as much?

Not at all.

① You receive a 30% larger weekly allowance than new members,

② if you keep your settings (memory / response length) light you can still have plenty of conversations, just like before, and

③ even after your allowance runs out you can keep chatting unlimited on the free default model. Your conversations are never forcibly cut off.

Q3. What exactly is the "weekly allowance"?

It's usage that refills automatically every week. It goes down as you use premium models and refills each week. You'll see your progress as a % bar in the app.

Q4. What happens when I use up my allowance?

You'll be offered a choice — continue using your Story Points (SP), or switch to the free default model and keep chatting. Even if you choose neither, the default model is always available for free.

Q5. What are Story Points (SP), and what's the 10,000 bonus?

SP is a permanent currency that never expires, used for usage beyond your allowance and for extras like image generation. The 10,000 SP thank-you bonus is a one-time gift so you can try the new premium models.

Q6. Why are you making this change?

Not to restrict usage, but to unlock the top-tier models and deeper memory and expressiveness that were previously blocked by cost — so we can raise conversation quality. Your usage depends on your own settings.

Q7. What do I need to do?

Nothing. It applies automatically from [July, 2026], and your lifetime perks and bonus are added automatically.

Q8. How do I make my usage last longer?

Lowering the memory (context) and response length in settings reduces per-message usage, letting you chat more. The estimated usage is shown before you send.

Q9. Can I still use the models I use now?

Yes. Your existing models stay, and more powerful models are being added.

Q10. What happens if I cancel?

Your price lock, +30% allowance, and lifetime perks are all lost. After canceling, even if you resubscribe, the then-current standard price and standard allowance apply, and your previous lifetime perks cannot be restored.
