User Personas

Be who you want. Anywhere, anytime.

On Storychat, you don’t have to be “you.”

Create your own identity—name, age, personality, appearance—and let Characters respond to you like you truly are that person.

Whether you’re roleplaying a vampire prince, a shy high schooler, or your dream alter ego, Personas make your chats more real, immersive, and fun.

Open any chat.

Click the Persona tab in the sidebar.

Create or edit your Persona in the textbox.

Toggle “Default for all chats” if you want it applied everywhere.

Click “Save Changes” and start chatting!

You can switch Personas anytime—and Characters will remember your background during the chat.

1. First-Person

I go by Max. He/Him. Short, messy hair. I wear black, love dark red, and I’m not very social. I'm into anime, music, and gaming. I usually stay in my room drawing or reading.

2. Third-Person

Her name is Maria. She’s tall, athletic, with green hair and blue eyes. She loves woodworking, animals, and quiet movie nights.

3. By Category

Gender: Male
Age: 23
Height: 5'11"
Personality: Witty, Playful
Likes: Dogs, Sports, Writing
Dislikes: Crowds, Loud noises

Use whichever style you prefer—Storychat Characters will understand them all.

Want to play different roles with different Characters?

You can create multiple Personas and switch between them depending on the chat.

Just make sure to select the right one before starting a new conversation.
