[Notice] Channel Talk Major May Updates (May 28, 2026)

Hello, this is the Channel Talk Team.

Channel Talk is getting a major upgrade to become more intuitive and more powerful.

On May 28, the admin dashboard, your team’s core workspace, will be redesigned with a cleaner, more efficient structure.

We’re also introducing a new AI agent, “AI CoS,” to support your team in a new way.

Please note that the admin page URL will also change—see details below.

For enhanced security, all Channel Talk accounts will be automatically logged out on all devices on the day of the update. Please make sure to verify your account in advance. (→ [Required] Verify your account)

Thursday, May 28, 2026 , morning to noon

  • Will be applied sequentially starting from Thursday, May 28, 2026 The schedule has been changed to ensure a more stable update.

The inbox—where most chats happen—has been significantly improved to help you stay focused on conversations.

  • Clear separation of message senders

    • Customer messages appear on the right, and manager messages on the left, making chat flow easier to follow.

  • Logs and internal chats grouped as “Internal Activity”

    • Consecutive logs and internal chats are automatically grouped into a collapsible “Internal Activity” section to reduce clutter.

      • Your existing collapse/expand settings will be preserved

      • If internal chats are included, AI will provide a summary

      • Messages you wrote or where you’re mentioned will always stay expanded.

  • Internal chat color updated from yellow to purple

In addition to the inbox, the overall UI has been refined:

  1. Top navigation updatedNow organized into three sections: Customer / Team / AI CoS

  2. Right panel redesignedSimplified into cleaner, collapsible cards

  3. Inbox list updateNo functional changes, but a reply indicator will appear on the profile image if the last message was from a manager(Excludes calls, bot/AI/internal messages)

  4. Team chat UI improvementsImproved spacing and message input design

  5. Draft indicator addedAn edit icon will appear in chat lists where a draft message exists

To help you transition smoothly, the previous version will remain available on web browsers for 2 weeks starting May 28.

You can explore the new interface at your own pace and switch when ready.

The beta ALF Team from team chat is being upgraded and relaunched as AI CoS.

AI CoS is a more advanced AI assistant that supports a wider range of tasks—from ALF setup (Rules, Knowledge, Tasks) to chat data and analytics.

  • Previous ALF Team conversation history will not be carried over. Please review any important information in advance.

The admin page URL will also change with the redesign.

Even if you continue using the old URL, you’ll be automatically redirected for at least 2 years.

However, since this redirect will eventually be discontinued, we recommend updating your links to channel.works over time.

Important for firewall or restricted network environments

If your system currently only allows desk.channel.io, please add channel.worksto the allowlist. Otherwise, access to the admin page may be blocked after the update.

Please share this with your IT/security team as soon as possible as firewall updates may require internal approval.

To enhance security, all users will be logged out from the PC app, web, and mobile apps on the morning of May 28.

  • You can log back in and continue as usual. However, if you’re unsure of your login details or use multi-factor authentication, please check your account in advance to avoid any issues.
