[Notice] Channel Works AI Edition Launch & Pricing on October 16 (Free Plans)

Applies to: Channels currently using the Channel Talk Free plan

On Friday, October 16, 2026, we’re launching the Channel Works AI Edition, a new way to work with AI.

As part of this update, the Free plan you’re currently using will become Free+, giving you access to more powerful AI capabilities and a wider range of features.

  • Effective date: Friday, October 16, 2026

  • Who’s affected: Channels currently on the Channel Works Free plan will automatically transition to Free+.

  • Pricing: The plan itself remains free ($0). You’ll only pay for the features you choose to use, with usage-based, on-demand billing.

  • Seat policy: Free+ includes 2 Operator seats and 30 Basic seats at no cost. For customers currently exceeding these limits, seats will be adjusted based on usage. Customers exceeding 30 Basic seats will receive credits covering their current overage for one year.

Features that were previously limited on the Free plan will now be available on Free+.

Let AI handle repetitive work, so your team can focus on what matters most.

To ensure that you won’t incur any unexpected charges when transitioning to Free+, paid add-on features will be disabled by default.

You’ll only be charged for paid add-on features if you choose to activate them.

However, the seat policy will change as part of the transition to Free+:

Current (Free)

Starting October 16 (Free+)

Operator seats (Support)

Unlimited free seats

2 free seats, up to 10 paid seats

Basic seats (Team Members)

Unlimited free seats

30 free seats, up to 100 paid seats

Please review your team’s seat settings before the transition.

  • If you currently use more than 2 Operator seats: The 2 Operators with the most recent support activity will retain their seats, and the remaining seats will be deactivated. If needed, you can add up to 10 Operator seats for an additional fee. (Learn more about Operator seats)

We’re offering transition benefits to customers currently exceeding the seat limits.

  • If you currently use more than 30 Basic seats: Your current number of seats will remain unchanged. Based on the number of seats in use at the time of the October 16 transition, you’ll receive credits covering the cost of your seats above the 30-seat limit for one year. Any seats added after the transition, as well as seats exceeding the limit after the credit period ends, will be billed on an on-demand basis. (Learn more about Basic seats)

  • If you currently use 100 or more Basic seats: Your current number of seats will remain unchanged, but you won’t be able to add new members. You’ll be able to add members again once your seat count falls below 100.
