Instagram Feed

By linking your Instagram account to Channel Talk, you can display your recent posts in the Channel Talk lounge. It increases opportunities for engagement with your customers, thereby boosting your brand awareness.

Go to [Channel Settings] - [Integrate] - [Messenger] - [Instagram] - [Instagram Feed] and select [Integrate]

  1. Log in to Facebook.

When the Facebook login screen appears in a new window, log in with the Facebook account linked to your Instagram Business Account.

  1. Select an Instagram account to integrate with Channel Talk.

Select one Instagram business account and press [Next]. If you select multiple accounts, the integration will not be successful.

  1. Select a Facebook page that is linked to your Instagram account.

Make sure to select only one Facebook page that is linked to your Instagram business account.

  1. Allow permissions.

Select to allow all permissions.

  • Click the Channel Talk chat button and check that your Instagram Feed appears in the Channel Talk Lounge.

  • Feed integration may take up to 5 minutes to complete.

Once the integration has been completed, you can check your latest Instagram posts on the chatting window lounge.

My Instagram feed has been disconnected.

  1. If you have changed your Facebook password, your feed will be disconnected.

  2. If you integrate your Instagram feed with Channel Talk, you need to reauthorize every 60 days.

    • If 60 days pass without re-authorization, the integration will be broken and messages sent from Instagram will not be delivered to Channel Talk.

    • A week before the 60-day mark, the channel bot will send a reminder to re-authorize in through the chat for all owners.

  3. Facebook's system may change without warning or expire prematurely, requiring re-authorization.

  • To keep your existing integration information, you can re-authorize with the account you logged in with for the original integration: [Channel Settings] - [Integration] - [Instagram Feed] - [Re-authorization required]

  • Click [Re-login to Facebook in a new window] to complete

Is there a recommended size for images and videos on an Instagram post?

All images and videos displayed in the Channel Talk Lounge will be uploaded in the same size uploaded to Instagram.

Except for posts that have an aspect ratio of 1:1, any blank spaces will be filled with a black margin.

Some of the content isn’t being loaded on Internet Explorer.

If you are using Internet Explorer, you may not be able to view all content (including Feeds) because it is not supported by the browser.

Can I select certain Instagram posts to feature on the Channel Talk Lounge?

The Channel Talk Lounge will display your 5 most current posts in order by date.

Why can’t I see the names of customers that have inquired through Instagram?

This is because the customer information hasn’t been integrated with the Channel Talk customer database. If the customer is already a member of the Channel Talk customer database, you can combine the two profiles together. (→ Learn more about unification)
