When you connect your WeChat account to Channel Talk, messages sent by customers through WeChat can be viewed and replied to directly in the Channel Talk inbox.
Please check the following requirements before setting up WeChat integration.
Channel Talk only supports integration with WeChat Service Accounts.
Supported: Service Account
Not supported: Personal accounts, Subscription accounts (Official Accounts)
Please make sure your WeChat account is a Service Account.
The WeChat account used to scan the QR code during setup must be registered as an Admin of the Service Account.
To verify:
Log in with the WeChat account you want to connect
If login succeeds, the account has admin access and can be used for integration
Go to Channel Settings → Integrations → App Store → WeChat
Click Install
Click the Integrate button to start the integration process
A QR code will appear in a new window. Scan the QR code using a WeChat account with admin permissions.
Log in with the Service Account you want to connect. Once you log in via the QR code, the integration will be completed. You can also connect multiple accounts if needed.
Once WeChat integration is complete, you can respond to all WeChat inquiries directly in Channel Talk.
Integration may fail in the following cases:
Incorrect account type: Attempting to connect a personal or subscription account
Insufficient permissions: The account scanning the QR code does not have admin rights
If you previously connected a WeChat Official Account (subscription type), you must disconnect it first and then reconnect using a Service Account.
You can disconnect WeChat integration in:
Channel Settings → Integrations → App Store → WeChat
From there, you can:
Uninstall the integration, or
Remove the connected account ID
