[AI Edition] Usage and Limits

This guide is for channels using the AI Edition.

The AI Edition is a new pricing plan available starting October 16, 2026.

If you're currently using the existing pricing plan (SaaS Edition), please refer to the SaaS Edition subscription and billing guide.

Usage and Limits lets you check how much you've used each feature in the current billing cycle and set a monthly usage limit per feature. Setting limits in advance helps prevent unexpected charges.

Usage and Limits is provided based on the Channel Works AI Edition pricing plan. Usage from the legacy SaaS pricing plan can be checked separately under [Past Usage].

Navigate to [Channel Settings] - [Usage] - [Usage and Limits], then select the [Usage] tab.

Click the period filter in the upper left to select the billing cycle you want to view.

  • Usage is aggregated by billing cycle, not by calendar month.

  • Usage for the most recent 4 billing cycles including the selected one will be displayed.

  • Hover over the ⓘ next to each period to see the exact billing period (e.g., 2026-08-15 ~ 2026-09-14).

  • If the billing period has changed due to a plan change, the same month may appear twice. In this case, the start date is also shown (e.g., [2026.08.01], [2026.08.15]).

The date you start your subscription becomes your billing date, and one month from that date is your billing cycle.

  • In the AI Edition, the billing date cannot be changed. If you need to change it, please contact the ChannelTalk team.

You can select only the items you want to view from the [All Types] list. Multiple items can be selected at the same time.

Check usage by item in the table. The rightmost column is the selected billing cycle and is displayed in bold.

  • Usage is displayed mostly in units (sessions/items). Call duration is shown in minutes, phone numbers and seats in count.

  • Only features that affect billing are included in usage.

  • Items that have reached the limit will show an orange icon next to the number. Hover and click [Set Limit] to adjust the limit immediately.

  • To check usage from the legacy pricing plan (SaaS Edition), click the [Past Usage] button at the bottom of the table.

  • [Outbound Call Duration (Global)] refers to calls made to countries other than Korea and Japan. Click ⓘ to see supported countries and rates.

  • Item-by-item records of transmissions via external services such as SMS, Kakao, and phone can be found in [Channel Settings] - [Usage] - [External Transmission Log]. (→ View External Transmission Log guide)

Description

System limit

The maximum determined by the system based on your plan and verification status. Cannot be changed directly.

Monthly usage limit

A limit you set yourself within the system limit.

The limit actually applied is whichever value is lower. For example, if the system limit is 1,000 for an item and you set a monthly usage limit of 500, then 500 applies.

  • If there is a Limit indicator next to the item name, it means a system-defined limit exists. You cannot use that feature beyond this limit.

In [Channel Settings] - [Usage] - [Usage and Limits], select the [Usage Limits] tab. Check the currently applied limit for each item in the rightmost [Monthly Usage Limit] column. Items with no limit are shown as "-".

Click the row of the item you want to change. The [Monthly Usage Limit] dialog will open.

Enter the desired limit in the input field. The currently applied limit (e.g., 1,000 currently applied) is pre-filled.

  • You cannot enter a value higher than the system limit.

Click [Save] and the limit will be applied immediately. To remove a set limit, click [Delete Limit] at the bottom left of the dialog.

Marketing messages can continue to be sent on-demand (post-paid) after all credits are used. The on-demand limit sets the maximum for these post-paid charges. You can manage your monthly marketing costs by setting a marketing on-demand limit.

  1. In the [Usage Limits] tab, click [On-Demand Limit] on the right side of the Marketing item.

  2. Enter the desired amount in the [Monthly On-Demand Limit] dialog.

    1. The marketing monthly on-demand limit must be entered as a monetary amount.

  3. Click [Save].

  • The marketing on-demand limit can be set to a maximum of 1,000,000 KRW.

  • To use more than 1,000,000 KRW post-paid, click [Limit Inquiry] to contact the ChannelTalk team.

  • Purchasing an add-on allows you to use the purchased amount regardless of the limit. (→ How to purchase add-ons)

  • Once a limit is reached, that feature will no longer work. Set generous limits for features critical to your operations.

  • If usage spikes right when the limit is reached, actual usage may slightly exceed the limit.

  • Usage figures may differ slightly from actual billed amounts depending on aggregation timing. Check the final billed amount in [Subscription & Billing] - [Invoices].
